Our application process is simple and straightforward. Follow the steps below to find out more.

Photographer

Preferred Experience/Qualifications;

 

Photography is a favourite hobby for many and by becoming a Photography Teacher at camp will allow you to pass on your passion to campers and the pure joy in capturing unique imagery through the eye of the camera beholder. 

 

Have the opportunity to build up your portfolio, capturing incredible landscapes right on your doorstep. Not only will you be involved in teaching the basics to campers but you may also be involved in documenting the everyday goings on around camp, providing images for the camp website where parents will be able to follow the fun their children are having all summer long. 

 

You will be familiar with digital cameras and digital editing software, confident enough to pass this information on to campers.

Directors will be looking for creative individuals who are energetic, engaging and hardworking.  

Your role will include;

Videographer

Preferred Experience/Qualifications;

Game Design

Preferred Experience/Qualifications;

 

As a Game Designer, your job will be to help immerse campers into the extremely popular world of game design.

 

Most campers will be highly familiar with certain games consoles such as the Xbox, Playstation or Nintendo, or download and play games on an iPad or iPhone, but they may not have ever considered how fun and rewarding it can be to design their own game to play.

Dependant on camp, a degree may not be essential. To be considered for this role, you must have experience in;

Dependant on camp, they may ask if you have any examples of the games you have designed and for what platforms (PC/Mac/iPhone)

Your role will include;

Web Design

Preferred Experience/Qualifications;​

 

Taking on a role as Web Designer at camp is perfect for the individual looking for a career in IT or computer science and what better way to gain invaluable experience for your CV than to do it abroad in the US of A.

 

You will need to have the knowledge and experience so you are able to pass on skills to campers looking to create their own website on a topic of their choice. Experience in teaching others is not essential, as long as you are clear and campers of all abilities understand your instructions. 

 

General camp types will be on the lookout for Web Designers or you may be hired to work at a specialist web design and coding summer camp. It really depends on a camps specific staffing requirements. 

Your role will include;

Other in-demand skills – Radio Broadcasting, Digital Imaging, PC/Apple expertise, Audio/Visual, 3D Design, Programming

  • Practical experience and knowledge of equipment

  • encouraging campers to get creative and use their imagination to capture shots around camp
  • helping campers make the most out of their images using digital editing software (photoshop)

Videographer

Preferred Experience/Qualifications;

  • Completed 1st year in relevant degree
  • Practical experience and knowledge of equipment

You will be familiar with digital cameras and digital editing software, confident enough to pass this information on to campers.

Your role will include;

  • passing on your knowledge to campers (camera parts, types, shooting techniques)
  • exploring different camera types with campers (digital and film)
  • encouraging campers to get creative and use their imagination to capture shots around camp
  • helping campers make the most out of their video clips using digital editing software.
 

Game Design

Preferred Experience/Qualifications;

  • Video Game Design degree
  • Have experience in game development

As a Game Designer, your job will be to help immerse campers into the extremely popular world of game design.

  • programming

  • creating hands-on learning exercises and supervised workshops to help campers develop an original game concept
  • playing, deconstructing, and analyzing hit games
  • helping campers work towards a playable demo and launch of their video  game
 

Web Design
