COVID-19 Booking Policy

Updated August 2022
We understand that booking travel might be the last thing on peoples minds at the minute, and there is a lot of uncertainty about international travel and whether camps will be running due to ongoing travel restrictions.

Summer Camps across America have successfully operated throughout 2021, and are planning on returning to hiring international staff for summer 2022.

As it stands, we have been advised by our visa sponsor that they will be granting visa supporting documentation for summer 2022 travel.
However, if your placement does not go ahead due to COVID-19 then we would like to offer some reassurances in terms of a partial refund if you are unable to travel.

All fees are fully transferable to a future year if you are unable to travel, they can also be transferred to another applicant.

A partial refund of Stage One and Stage Two will be given in the following circumstances and you have made all 3 payments to Skilled Summers
1.Your camp cancels it’s program due to COVID-19 and we are unable to place you at an alternative camp location.
2. The airline cancels your flight due to COVID-19 and an alternative route is not offered.
3. You are unable to obtain a US visa due to embassy closure relating to COVID-19.
4. The visa sponsor is no longer able to sponsor your visa due to COVID-19.
5. You are unable to travel due to testing positive for COVID-19
Please note: Skilled Summers are only able to refund fees that have been paid directly to Skilled Summers, this does not cover any fees paid to the US embassy, ACRO, flights or any other 3rd party fee.
Evidence must be submitted when requesting a refund and refunds are processed at the discretion of Skilled Summers.
